Back From Market with Fabulous New Fabrics!

WOW! We’re back from the Spring Quilt Market held in Pittsburgh, and did we have fun picking out new goodies for the store!

The weather was warm and muggy with lots of thunder, lightning and heavy rain. But that’s OK! It kept us inside, and time flew by as we bought bolts and bolts of hot new fabric.

Look for great florals, flannels, batiks, Asians, reproductions, 30s, kid prints, novelties and much more to be arriving in the store over the summer months, including new collections from Amy Butler, Jo Morton, Kaffe Fassett, Katie Pasquini-Masopust, Michael James, Michelle Blackhurst, Robyn Pandolph, Valori Wells and a yummy candy theme from Lakehouse.

For those who have been admiring the cute rubber ducky quilt in our front window (the Quack Me Up pattern on the Penny Candy CD, by Me and My Sister Designs, $12.99), we finally found a similar collection called “Just Ducky.” It should be arriving in July, so stay tuned.

Rose found some wonderful new patterns, plus book and notion ideas for Kathy and Karen. Chardel and Liz took a great Schoolhouse class for making cool fabric bowls and spoke with teachers to begin planning the Fall class calendar. Watch for a new fabric bowl class by Chardel, new Fall sections of Beaded Snitzels and Inspiration from the Quilts of Gee's Bend, and other fresh additions.

If you haven't met Stacie yet, then what are you waiting for? She's marked dozens of bolts with orange dots, and each dot means a whopping 40% off!

While you're on our site, you can get a preview of our new patterns, kits, books -- and don't forget to check our June Class Calendar for fresh ideas to keep you stitching!

Celebrating Summer!

We've turned our windows into a showcase of summer-themed quilts -- from bikinis, boats, fish, and "fried chicken" to beach bags and thongs (the foot kind, thank you!).  These patterns range from practical and decorative to downright comical, so come on in and take a look!
