Learn the theory and techniques behind these inspiring abstract quilts with this simplified version of One Block Wonder that includes only 4 triangles, preparing you for the more complex 6 or 8 triangle blocks. Making this wall hanging you will learn how to: choose fabric appropriate for these quilts, align and cut your fabric so no two blocks are the same, chain piece your blocks, arrange your blocks on a design wall in a way that pleases you, and complete your quilt. This is a great way to become familiar with the techniques involved while making a fun, beautiful wall hanging that may become one of your favorite quilts ever. Each block you piece is unique and a surprise when you put it together! At the beginning of class we will talk about what fabrics work best for One Block Wonders, and then you can search the store for your fabric (10% discount on the day of class.) We will also discuss various options for finishing the quilt (such as batting choices, different quilting methods, backing, display sleeve, labeling, binding) so you can finish and hang your masterpiece.
