An evening with Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably at QuiltWorks Northwest. Lecture entry fee can be paid at the shop or online.

Kaffe Fassett will look at color in design in his lecture "A Colorful Journey".

The power point presentation highlights his work from his latest projects - these will include needlepoint, mosaic and his knitting designs. All these mediums feed into his fabric collections and the classic quilts that he creates.

A tremendous amount of Fassett's inspiration comes from the past and his lecture will be of interest to all who love color in this diverse world. Audiences will leave the lecture bursting with empowerment and inspiration to continue or start their own experiments.

Kaffe is assisted in all this creativity by Brandon Mably who runs his London Design Studio.

The power point presentation lasts approximately 45 minutes followed by a question-and-answer session and a book signing.

Lecture topics include:

- Charleston House in Sussex where "Kaffe Knits Again" was photographed. The house is filled with beautiful hand made surfaces lovingly created by the Bloomsbury artists who made it their home in the early 1900's.

- New approaches and techniques for expressing bold and vivid color through Design in mosaic projects and his work with theatre companies.

-How Fassett's worldwide travels and current surroundings have motivated his latest works.

Members of the audience are encouraged to bring in their own original designs for analysis and discussion by Fassett.

All Skill Levels.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $28 at the door.

Physical tickets will NOT be mailed. Please bring your purchase receipt with you to gain entry to the lecture.

  • Sat, Oct 3, 7:00-8:30pm

  • There will be a book signing after the lecture.
