New Beginnings is a local shelter for battered women and their children who need a place to be safe from domestic violence. Sandy and a group of regulars give generously of their time to this cause by making quilts for shelter residents. You can join them and make lap size quilts for the children at New Beginnings. This group has been gathering monthly for several years and to date they have made over 2,300 quilts. They have touched the lives of thousands - one quilt at a time. If you prefer to work at home, a pattern will be available. On July 19, the room will be available until 4:00 for those who wish to stay longer.
