Quilts from the Heart meets the fourth Wednesday evening of the month at QuiltWorks Northwest and at other locations on other dates. It is a volunteer organization that has made over 1800 quilts since it began in 1993. They now have over 80 volunteer quilters and sew quilts for organizations in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties that provide beds for kids and adults at risk. Their motto is no pressure. Their information reads, You don't have to pay dues, you don't have to make a whole quilt, nor run for office or volunteer unless you really want to. We accept your time and energy whenever and however you want to give them. Just show up, and they will put you to work. Bring a sewing machine if you can; fabric is provided from their large donated fabric collection or you can use your own stash!
