Instructor: Annika deGroot

This beginner project is a good introduction to micro-macramT, which is simply macramT created on a miniature scale. The techniques used here will familiarize you with basic macramT knots and working with thin nylon cords. YouÆll learn how to string seed beads onto cord and an easy method for tying flat knots.

Fish out that pretty lampwork glass bauble youÆve been meaning to make into something fantastic and use it as the focal point for this easy bracelet. Or find a crocheted or Chinese knot bead to accent with seed beads and fire-polished crystals.

Annika deGroot is a textile artist and jewelry designer. She is the author of the book Micro-MacramT: 30 Beaded Designs for Jewelry Using Crystals and Cords.
