Instructor: Vera Smith

Some old-fashioned blocks make interesting modern quilts when made with contemporary fabrics and colors. In this class you will learn to make the Pickle Dish edge. You will also learn different ways to make melons and insert them. This is curved piecing, so be ready to think outside the box. You may try my template set by Sharlayne Jorgenson and also a paper-pieced method by Marti Michel. See which you like best. Bring fabrics you like, which have good contrast so you will enjoy the process. Fat quarters will be fine, or you can cut the little points from fairly small scraps.

All Skill Levels.
