The synergy of QuiltWorks and Beads and Beyond in one space is so exciting!

Inspirational Offerings from our Classroom!

We are very excited to introduce a few new teachers to you this fall!

Cheryl Kuczek of Paradiso Designs will be teaching our new evening DIY class called "QuiltWorks Cafe." Bring your own projects to this class and Cheryl will help you problem solve any issues and give you ideas to enhance your creations to make them your own style. QuiltWorks Cafe has multiple date offerings.

Peggy O'Heron is joining our teaching staff and brings you "Surface Play," a monthly experiential group for creating your own unique fabrics. You will love playing with these techniques!

The Beads and Beyond class list is very exciting! Click here for the class list and prepare to be inspired!

A heads up to all of you about Beads and Beyond class registration... Beads & Beyond registration for Fall classes is the same manual process as used in the past. The QuiltWorks quilting/Bernina/fabric related classes will use the same online registration process we have used at QuiltWorks for years.

Hearts & Hands: Providing Warmth and Comfort for Local Hospitals and Shelters

Update Posted: 6/26/08

We've been collecting quilts for Project Linus and they are always appreciated. Whenever you feel you can spend some time creating a small quilt to donate to Project Linus, keep us in mind.  It is so satisfying to help Project Linus get much needed warmth and comfort to others in need at local hospitals and shelters, so please keep those quilts coming and thank you for your support in helping us help others in need.  If you're looking for opportunities to sew for Linus in the company of friends, our Open Classrooms are a perfect opportunity for you.  For more information about our work with Project Linus, please view our previous postings.  By the way, if you can't stop in the shop, you may purchase a Linus Kit online to donate to our volunteer sewers.

Other opportunities to help with a gift of warmth for those in need are available.  Click to read about New Beginnings, Quilts from the Heart, and Stone Soup.

Our Block of the Month - BUCK-A-BLOCK by THANGLES®

Buck-a-Block series 4 will start at QWNW in July; it introduces quilters to an easy way to make half-square triangles of many sizes and to make a great sampler quilt in the process. At any time during a given month, a block kit will be available for $1. Participants must show their completed block in order to receive the next block kit at the special price. For participants who do not qualify for the special price, blocks are $3. Although this fun program begins on July 1st, it's never too late to participate.  Previous months are available for just $3 per block while supplies last; current and future blocks are just $1 as long as you follow the program rules.  Themes for Series 4 are "Blue, Yellow & White" and "Brights."  Participants can select one or both themes to participants.  Limit one of each theme per participant at the special block price of $1.
